Scouting After School
Scouting After School is a free program that operates in various schools and recreation centers in Minneapolis and St. Paul.
Focused on good citizenship, character development and a positive attitude, Scouting After School provides a fun and adventurous program for students interested in the world around them. From construction projects to capture the flag, camping gear to Fire Fighters, Cub Scouts explore and achieve various facets of life through hands-on activities, science projects, arts and crafts, and outdoor activities designed to engage, enrich and excite.
In the 2012-2013 school year, Huron District served over 1,400 youth at more than 30 program sites, most of whom qualified for free or reduced lunch. Over 300 kids attended a Scouting camp.
